There was a party for all fairies. A fairy named Periwinkle wasn't invited to it. So, in deep sorrow, she ran away to the forest and met a lion named Scar. He taught her the ways of being corrupted. She learnt every bit of them. Finally, it was time for the test. It was a duel. She blasted Scar in the face, leaving a gash across his left eye. He was proud and she left to further her studies. Then she met the Mad Hatter. He taught her insanity. Now she's both evil and crazy. Realizing that his insanity was too much in a way that it made him lose sight of his goal at all times, she conjured endless supply of tea for him so he could tone down his madness to fulfill his duty and return to his crazy world after he's done. On her way, she fell into the ocean and met Ursula and Morgana who were both evil and crazy and knew magic. They taught her the transformation spell and that's how she learnt to transform into a dragon. Her first lesson didn't go well so the horns stuck. This encounter deepened her lunacy and inhumanity and so she changed her name. Guess whaaaaat!!!! Maleficent! She returned to find the celebration of the birth of a princess, the fairies were invited once again and once again, she wasn't! How to ruin this day? By cursing the princess of course! What is the best curse in the world? To prick her little finger on a sharp pointy thing which hurt like a bitch and that was how she felt when they didn't invite her! Upon being pricked, she would fall into a deep sleep and so no parties forever!!! Only a kiss from the prince would awaken her! Why put a reversible curse? Because Maleficent thought no one would ever love a vegetable! She forgot though, that beauty was everything back then! It didn't matter if the princess was a dick as long as she was freaking gorgeous! And that was how it all came to be....the end.

Anyway, Bravely Default looks so much like FFIII.
It even plays like it. What with the job classes and all.
I'm not sure yet how the job system works but if it involves lots of grinding, I'm still game.

I'm not a huge fan of grinding and so you can probably tell, my fave style of level-up/power-up system is that of FFVIII. You don't even have to fight monsters to get those magic for junctioning. Just convert items.
