How's everyone doing in this rather empty space?
Today, I would like to 'discuss' my kind-of-favourite game, Danganronpa V3!
I know it's super late and I have been playing Spyro and Kingdom Hearts 3 more than V3 but hey!
I know how I feel about this game!
When this blog post is over, we'll know exactly what went down with me and this game!
Let us begin! Puhuhuhuhuhuhu!
First thing that I can't help but say..........AWESOME KICK-ASS GAMEPLAY!
Yes! The game mechanics are to sacrifice your friends for!
They are just superb!
You can lie to get the truth out, not that lying is great kids, so don't do that at home.
I mean, it adds an interesting touch to a 'sequel'........
If only I could call it that.
More infuriating mini-games to reach the truth!
Driving to the truth, mine-blowing your way to the truth and sword-fighting!
I believe that in terms of gameplay, this game is G-R-E-A-T.
Onwards to a more spoiler-ful part of the game!
The characters are very interesting.
Though at the beginning of the game, I was already like suspecting that these characters were no Hope Academy students.
I mean you can't be serious........a mage? An evil lord?
What are these skills?
Really dude?
Izuru Kamukura is a genius who needs these 'skills'?
But I won't deny the enticing elements these characters bring to the table.
I will give a thumbs up to character development.
This game provides quite a crazy journey.
Not that the previous games had very normal, vanilla characters but their actions were more normal, compared to this bunch.
With these V3 characters, I can't see Junko getting involved.
It's just not possible!
Unless the game creator pulled something out of his ass, you know, some deus ex machina, I just don't see the Hope vs Despair showdown happening.
And yes, that's the thing!
I don't see much despair element in this.
Maybe I'm just bad at reading the game dialogues but damn......they seem to be outside the world of Junko Enoshima.
Hope is nothing, despair is nothing, they are just very happy abductees.
It does feel out of place but maybe that is by design.
Which leads me to the next spoiler-ful part of the game!
The story!
The characters do not match the Danganronpa storyline (the Junko one that is) because it has nothing to do with it!
Although there are indications lying around in the game that they could be in the same universe.
I don't actually know what to make of this.
I mean, I do not like games where the story is up to the colourful mind of the gamer.
I like it when you tell me your story.
If I wanted my story, my ending and my everything, I would make my own game.
Not to sound rude, I love you guys at Spike Chunsoft and I appreciate the game.
It is very cool but I would like to be told a story.
I'm aware that some games have DIY elements and that's part of the charm of the game but for me, Danganronpa isn't one of those games.
I mean, you have a very good story already, albeit, quite insane but still very good characters and plot.
An insane pink-haired girl trying to destroy everything to entertain herself.
Expand on that!
